Oh Baby!

This week was extra fun because I got to spend time helping prepare for Keile’s baby shower. We cannot wait for baby girl Williams to join the crew in a few short weeks! Amanda hosted a wonderful party and it was a lot of fun getting to know more of the ladies in the wards and neighborhoods around us that came. We had a cheesecake bar, opened gifts and shared lots of stories and advice. I have so much love and admiration for mamas and all they go through to bring children into this world and then raise them in this world. I know Keile is going to do so well and this baby girl is so blessed to have her and Taylor as her parents!
I know I say this over and over again but it is so incredibly comforting and powerful to have such a great support network out here. One of our friends shared with us as we were setting up for the shower that she had recently had a miscarriage. I was so touched at the way we were all able to rally around her and show her genuine support and compassion. I’ve heard people say it before that there is something different about their “grad friends” I think it is because you form a different relationship with them because your family isn’t close by. They effectively become your family. This might be entitled to say but I 100% consider myself to be an aunt to Taylor and Keile’s baby because they have become like family and this new little one will be no different.
Cannot wait to enjoy so many new baby snuggles!!! Especially since we’ve been missing our nieces and nephews!
Peaches
- Celebrating Keile and baby girl Williams (they are keeping the name a secret from all of us)
- Feeling so blessed to have good friends
- Finding the cutest little "First Year scrapbook" for Keile and Taylor and baby and thinking about how fun it will be to be part of baby girl's first year
- Got an 87% on my second finance exam. Quite a jump from a 56% on the first one! I must not have been the only one to struggle because they allowed us to use a note sheet which made all the difference in the world
- Tanner's parents came into town from Alaska so we got to meet them and have Sunday dinner together which was a lot of fun. So fun to meet everyone's families we hear so much about
- Put together a graduation card for my sister in law Amanda for the young women in her ward
- Learning of the difficult news of a friend
- Stressing and studying for my next finance exam - check out this note sheet
Lessons Learned
- Life has a way of guiding you through the lives of people who will bless and influence you if you take time to appreciate them and get to know them
- Birth sounds horrible, there is no other way to say it. And I know everyone always thinks that before they experience it but everytime I go to these events and hear stories I am both awed and horrified
