Birthdays & Park City
The next day I went into work at my old stomping grounds of Signature Products Group (SPG) where I interned during my undergrad and who I continue to work with in my current job at Flywheel Outdoors Group. I was able to see a lot of old friends and then went and picked up my boss from the airport who took advantage of me being in town and we scheduled some meetings.
The next couple of days after were a whirlwind as I tried to cram in final exams for summer semester. I took my last test at 3:00 a.m. on a makeshift desk in the other spare bedroom at Jeff and Amy's so I didn't disrupt Jaden while he slept. Although I was dragging the next morning it was worth it to have my classes done slightly early so I could fully enjoy a weekend up at Park City with the Richins adults. And cute Hayes boy.
We had a blast eating out, playing games, and just simply being together again. I've said it before and will continue to say it forever, I really lucked out being born into an amazing family and then being welcomed into another amazing family. From day one they took me in as their own and I love each and every one of them. Jaden and I feel so blessed to have such an amazing support network and it makes coming home that much sweeter knowing we've got a swarm of people that love us waiting to see us.
My best friend Morgann's dad would always say: "our best memories are food," and the Richins really embody that. They've really expanded my perspective on the way food gathers people and the stories behind family recipes and favorite restaurants. The Richins love being together and eating good food and that is what we did in Park City. We ate so much good food and talked and laughed while we did so. It was fun to think back on memories made up there together as a family. I remember going to eat there when Jaden and I were dating, meeting Casey and Amanda up there for a weekend after we were first married. Staying with Jeff and Amy for a weekend before we left for Pittsburgh.
