FOMO
FOMO or (fear of missing out) was real and present this week as I went and picked up Jeff and Amy and took them to the airport where they flew back to meet Jaden in Chicago. Part of me wanted to get on the plane and go with them but I know it will be so fun for them to have one on one time with Jaden and I'm counting on them to take and send lots of pictures. As I was pulling back on the onramp headed home after dropping them off I had a call come in from Amy and she told me their flight was cancelled. I asked her if she wanted me to turn around and come get them and she said no they would get it figured out. Poor people had to get re routed back through Seattle and then onto Chicago and didn't end up getting there until well after midnight. I felt so bad for them!
In the meantime while the Richins partied it up in Chicago and Pittsburgh I was able to visit with more extended family and attend the temple with my parents and Bridger. I also babysat my niece nephew and of course had plenty of school to busy up any additional time. Don't think I'll be spending much time out at the pool.
Birthday Party
Went to my cousin Matt's toddler's second birthday and got to meet my cousin Paul's newest little one Finley. She was recently adopted and is the cutest thing in the world with an insane amount of hair. I was in baby heaven. Our whole family says that Grandpa Moyle guided her to the family because he has a soft spot for little dark complexioned dark haired little girls like his own adopted daughter: my mom
Temple
Being back in the temple is when I realize how much I miss it. It's hard when in Pittsburgh the closest open temple is DC and it's a four hour drive to get there. Chicago was definitely better but it's such a blessing to be in Utah and have temples within 20 minutes nearly any direction. It was great to be there with my family and feel the peace and calm that are so special in the temple. I always feel so happy walking into the Celestial room and seeing my family there waiting. It makes me imagine how happy and exciting future reunions in heaven will be.
Babysitting
Casey dropped Sloane and Dempsey off at my parents while he went to work and Amanda was up at girls camp. We spent the day swimming, watching movies and playing with littlest petshops. I did have to squeeze in a little bit of work and hop on a couple of calls and while I was prepping for a call I caught a video of Dempsey running around the basement waving to all of the animals it was so funny! I always tease my dad that basements are already scary enough for kids but Jaden and my kids are never going to want to go downstairs because our basement isn't just dark but there is a grizzly bear in it. Dempsey didn't seem to mind though he would run up and growl at it and then run away laughing and then run back and wave up at it. It was seriously the cutest thing. Hope our kids have that same lack of fear.
